Lintels
Applications
Lintels are used to span openings in walls for windows and doors, providing the same plaster base as the adjacent masonry. They can be used as load bearing elements in plane walls or as non-loadbearing elements in light aerated concrete partition walls. Lintels are laid quickly and easily with thin-bed mortar, allowing masonry work to continue directly. Lintels are to be installed with thin bed mortar in accordance with the appropriate lap length. The following table describes the max. opening width:

Nichttragende Stürze (NST)
All appropriate building regulations are to be complied with. The minimum lap length should be at least 200 mm for lintel lengths up to 1750 mm, and 250 mm for lintel lengths larger than 2000 mm. The compressive stress at the embedding point in the wall may not exceed 0.7 MN/m².
